The Flower Language

Hi ya’ ol. Today, I’m interested with flower language. I dunno why. But maybe I am influenced with my deep ‘love’ in Tunas and Aa+Bb, novels by Hlovate. I’m sure many girls especially, love ‘em too. Haha.
In Tunas, the hero, Benz Alif Sulaiman aka Benz the ‘Mafia’ cause of his personality and attitude, and Nur Addin Shah aka Addin the Walkman Kid cause she always has walkman wherever she goes. Addin and Benz are arch-enemy. But, in a function, Amal Kasih, there's an incident that open my heart to the flower language. Addin as one of the organizer take a stroll around while checking the booths. She stopped a while at the Basketball Club’s booth, which is Benz club. The booth sold flowers.
When Addin was walking pass the booth, A-Cid, Addin’s junior aka her crime-partner greeted her. While they’re having a chit-chat, Benz interjected them. When A-Cid offers to Addin flowers on the house (free of charge), Benz started to have a ‘mouth war’ with Addin. But A-Cid quickly butt in. He asked Addin which flower she want. Addin asked for tulips but they ain’t have it. A-Cid thought of something. He knew what can replace tulips. He asked Benz for one rose,full-bloom, with baby's breath in a bouquet. Wrap with white organza, pink ribbon. Benz said, "The I-Love-You ensemble?". Well, it all started here for me to love the flower language. It's beautiful~

The language of flowers, sometimes called floriography, was a Victorian-era means of communication in which various flowers and floral arrangements were used to send coded messages, allowing individuals to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken. This language was most commonly communicated through Tussie-Mussies, an art which has a following today.
The nuances of the language are now mostly forgotten, but red roses still imply passionate, romantic love and pink roses a lesser affection; white roses suggest virtue and chastity and yellow roses still stand for friendship or devotion. Also commonly known meanings are sunflowers, which can indicate either haughtiness or respect – they were the favorite flower of St. Julie Billiart for this reason. Gerbera (daisy) means innocence or purity. The iris, being named for the messenger of the gods in Greek mythology, still represents the sending of a message. An Anemone signifies disappearance of hope. A pansy signifies thought, a daffodil regard, and a strand of ivy fidelity.[citation needed]
There are geographic variances. For example, in Texas yellow roses represent true and undying love. In the East, tulips represent the love for someone.
